The sediment pre-filter is used to prevent dirt and sediment particles from entering and clogging the main filter unit. Replace sediment pre-filters as needed, particularly once pre-filter is noticeably saturated with sediment.

6-pack of replacement cartridges for the diverter pre-filter, for the Aquasana AQ-4000 (over counter) and the Aquasana AQ-4601P (under counter).

A pre-filter usually lasts 4-6 weeks approximately.
